Properly designed literature studies offer much more than simply reading bits and pieces of literary works. Rather, the teacher reads and reasons with the students through complete works of literature to discern ideas and principles. As the student\'s abilities develop, he will begin to identify the governmental principles which brought forth the world\'s first Christian Republic and relate these governmental principles to his or her own life.
